Yes they are entertaing, those bow tie bozo's. I have a few of the Xtremes
in Baytown. There is one in particular that was amusing to me.
For those of you that might not know, I own (2) Dak's. A 95 SLT
http://txdakotart.homestead.com/95slt.html
and a 99 R/T http://txdakotart.homestead.com/enter1.html
I was on my way back from lunch one day (I always travel the same stretch of
hiway). And I get caught at the last signal before the freeway entrance.
This guy in a black xtreme pulls up and he has a flowmaster sticker and a
K&N sticker on the back window along with some other sticker advertising a
local rice shop. He stepped on the flowmaster, and it reminded me of a
accura with a hole in the tailpipe. He tore off from the signal and I
followed. About a car length behind him. Once pass the 30mph mark I eased
off into the 5.2L Magnum and just passed him like he was stopped. What a DA,
can't he read "V8" on the fenders?
OK, again........I am going to work one morning and just happened to be in
the R/T. Same light, and guess what...........Yep, the black xtreme is
beside me again. Same lumpy noise and load stereo. The guy takes off and I
pace him and let him think he is just barely whipping me. By this time we
are approaching the 35mph onramp to the Fed Hartman Bridge(its a pretty
hairy curve, miss and you swim), I let him get a lead on me and then I kick
255 Mopar horses in the a$$. I slingshot around this guy so fast (100+) I
almost caused him to go swimming! Most amusing!
On a closing note, I saw him at he red light a few days later in the SLT and
he couldn't even look at me. I still see him on occasion...............Bite
me chevy boy!
