Well, I've got the 4.7 auto 4x4. But the mileage can't be considered
"good". It's pretty much the same as the 318 was. And I can't be a good
judge since i'm pretty sure that i've got a lemon. I had my Dak for 3 days,
had some mechanical trouble, needed a new tranny. And my mileage was like
14 on the highway until i got the QuickD intake setup for it, then it was
about the same as everyone eles's, what it should have been in the
beginning.
But, for the power of this engine, the mileage is ok. And i can't see why
you wouldn't want to spend a little bit extra for all that power.
And when ya drop the hammer, the engine makes a sweet sound. :)
Overall i'd take the 4.7 as my first choice in the available lineup.
