Subject: HELP!! 1st (hopefully not) Major Problem
My tranny is acting funny. Started this morning as soon as I fired her
up to go to work. Check Engine light was on. No biggie, reset the
computer. Came back on and when I pulled out of my driveway, it wouldn't
shift out of 1st. Well, I punched it and then it finally shifted into
2nd at 5k, then 3rd, and o-d. Converter locked in 3 & o-d like normal.
Now, if I leave it in D, it takes off in 3rd, if I pull it into 2, it
takes off in 2nd, but still no first gear. Will not downshift into
second if I punch it. HELP!!! I really don't need this to happen!! I
only get a code 12 from the key on-off routine. I can't really afford to
put a new tranny in with 3 more payments on my lease, and I'm out of
warranty. I hope someone who knows about trannys is out here!!!!
