I haven't tried to fix it yet. I've had it for the life of the truck (~2
years) and just check it weekly.
I'm going to do a cooling system flush soon so I'll probably tackle it then.
I'll replace the thermostat at the same time with a 180 degree stat now that
the truck has passed its first New Jersey emissions test (with flying
colors, I might add.)

Roger, Have you tried to fix it? Or should I just plan on living with this
for the life of the truck.

Absolutely. Mine leaks around the thermostat housing.

Subject: DML: Disappearing Antifreeze
Has anyone ever had disappearing antifreeze in their dak(98)? In March when
I bought it, I smelled burning antifreeze after driving it, so I took it
back into the dealer and they fixed a leak by the water pump. Now the
coolant dipstick seems to be dry again? I don't smell it and I don't see
it. Any thoughts?
roger.
