Don't quite know how the physics work...this is just from on the road
testing. 2.5" should be ok...i'd just be slightly weary about the rear pipe
though. I'd try to find someone who runs a system like that first before
buying it. (And don't call the manufacturers...they'll tell ya just about
anything to sell their product.)

Thanks Bernd, that's sorta what I wanted to hear... but the Gibson system
that I've seen is 2.5" In / 2.5" Dual Out (not 2.25"/2.25"). We are 2.5" in,
aren't we?

As long as 2.5" duals won't rob me of low end that's probably what I'll do,
$265 at Truck Performance, and no trip to a muffler shop. After the QuickD
TB, of course! :-)

Here's sort of a general muffler-tech question: two 2.5" outs obviously
don't equal one 5" out. How do the physics of that work?

Thanks,

- Alex
