The throttle position sensor was replaced on my truck about two weeks
ago,and it cured the following (apparently sudden) problems:
1)Transmission hunting,especially on a grade,with the rpms jumping up
and down. 2)Driving at steady speed, drivetrain had kind of a
jerky, severe miss.Could not determine if it was engine or transmission
related at the time. This second problem may have been there for a
while, then suddenly became severe. No codes were set with this bad
part.Having driven the truck hundreds of miles since the TPS
replacement(at 8700),I can say it fixed the problems above, and I believe
it helped my fluctuating idle also. Steve P.
