I once owned a 82 S10 that was lowered by taking out 2 leafs and cutting out
the coils, it is the cheapest way to do it and it will be slammed on the
ground but I now have really bad back problems from the ride it gave. If I
hit a pot hole in it I would literally come off the ground from bouncing so
much. I would not suggest it, spend the money for a kit, it is worth it.
