Bernd, Thank you very much. That is exactly what I was looking for. And now
I understand why higher octane gas is needed instead of trying to get away
with just colder plugs.
For all of you that got pissed off at me, what was the deal with that? Aside
from Bernd, only one person could (or was willing) to explain to me the
"why" to my question. And even that one other person copped an attitude
about it. Just remember people, all I did was ask WHY.
This is the kind of crap that makes me wonder why I'm even on the list. This
list is supposed to be a place to help each other, not give them grief
because they don't understand something and no one is willing to explain it.
I've been on this list for over four years and have never understood why it
is that people have to give each other a hard time over something that
someone doesn't understand.
As far as my question about swapping the computers. I guess I'll have to
take that up with Mopar or someone else. My MP comp has not been flashed and
the odometer is reading correct. I'm not disagreeing the mileage needs to be
flashed, but I seriously doubt I will be "rolling back" the odometer if I
swap in the stock unit every now or then. I just want to know what triggers
the dash lights. Is it the lack of a VIN or is it the mileage not matching
what's in the odometer?
