And ya know, I think that is exactly what DC was after when they developed
this engine. I know there are a lot of people around my part of town who
own Dakotas, Duragnos and Grand Cherokees who don't use the vehicle for any
thing other than a daily driver. So, I figure a lot of them didn't like the
sudden jump when you step on the gas and DC wanted to give them a V8 that
had the power but a much smoother response. And I must say the 4.7 does an
excellent job of it.

EXACTLY! You gotta drive it like you stole it! I want a crisp shifting
tranny, with a good torquey (low end) V8. Its like driving a luxury car at
times. BUT drive it for a while like your being chased by the cops and she
will run! The computer learns fast. Ive had mine ping a few times after
running her hard. THats on 87 octane.
Ive got a few Ideas about optimizing it. Dont know if a SC is the best route
yet.
