Ooops. That's 340hp for the Vortec....but GM also has two new trannys, a
6-spd manual or a 5-spd automatic.

Besides that, word is the 2001 Lightning has even more horseys than the
2000's. I don't know what they did to it but they were rated at 360hp last
year. Even bigger than that is GM's new engine. The Vortec 8.1 liter has
been released. 380hp@455 lbft. Now I want to see a Silverado and a
Lightning go head to head.
