There is an old saying "the only substitute for cubic inches is cubic feet"
When it comes to torque, If you don't have it you don't have it. Big diesels
have loads of torque and very little hp for their size. You can put a tubo
on a 4 banger and develop more hp than a big v8 that is normally aspirated
but you will not get much torque.
