If you wan to get an idea of what type of fines they can incurr (and alot of the
states are very similar i've heard CA is stricter) in Florida the dealer WILL
recieve a $10,000 fine for each and every used car on their lot that does not
have a "as-is/no warrenty" sticker in the window. If they issued a temp tag on a
vehicle like yours with no clear title they have to go before the state attornys
office and explain their actions and try to keep from losing their dealership.
If it crosses state lines, then yes, it is definatly a felony. I've been to
these classes and these people lose their dealerships for this crap fairly often
or are forced by the state to sell. (one reason dealerships can go through name
changes)
