I was speaking of the Diameter, 60mm X 1.077 (or 7.7%) = 64.62, thus a 7.7%
increase in diameter.
You are correct Bill, Your math is good!! hee hee!! the end area would
increase by 16%, and I would suspect about a 50 cfm increase, if you're
lucky!! It already flows around 600 cfm, which is a alot considering the
engine is only 287 cubic inches. There are alot of built 360 V-8s out there
running 600-650 cfm carbs with no problem. With that said, unless I saw some
dyno results to the contrary, I would not spend a dime on the factory TB. It
should be more than sufficient with the cam profile that the 4.7L has. Now
if we see some aftermarket cams come out, I might look at increasing the TB
flow. ;)

<Matt,
< Am I crazy or not, I figured it to be 16.19% larger area. pi x radius
<squared = area. 60.3 / 2 = 30.15 squared = 909.02 x 3.14159 = 2855.7 square
mm
        65.0 / 2 = 32.50 squared = 1056.25 x 3.14159 = 3318.3 square mm
difference is 462.60 square mm more area. 116.19% times 2855.7 =
3318.3
Did I figure this right or is my dumb ass showing real bad. >>
