87 Octane will *not* cause pinging. If the truck is designed to be run on
87, then it will not make it ping. It *can* be impurities in varying
stations fuel, but not simply because it is 87 octane.
If your truck demands more than 87, and your manual says to run 87, then
your truck has a problem, or has been modified so that it now needs more
than 87.
