the 3923's won't hurt, and I'd remove the heat sheilds as they'll just trap
dirt... I've been running 3923's as well as 3922's for quite some time now,
I change them every 10-12k miles regaurdless. Every time I remove them,
they're in great shape, could probably run another 10-15k miles if I wanted
to.
