Ok, I just talked ye ole 5 star dealer, they talked to some DC engineers and
have come to the conclusion that my MAP sensor is causing the problem, so
they have one on order and will be replacing early next week. I'm not sure
what happened to the TPS theory, but I'll talk to the Technician when I go
back. Will update next week.

<say is WOW!!! this thing is awesome, it recorded everything that was going
<on in the PCM and sensors for 30 seconds each time. It gave readings on

<Now, if you'll recall I had suspected a TPS problem, even though it never
<gave a fault code.
<Well, first thing he says is he suspects its the culprit, so we start
<looking at TPS voltage during the 30 sec. record. And low and behold the
<TPS flat lined right at the time the engine shut down to idle. He is also
<looking at Vacuum to see exactly were the throttle plate is. If its closed
<then Vacuum will be high, WOT it will be low. The TPS is not totally "bad"
<but he suspects there may be defect in it.??? When I left he said he was
<going to call DC and review the recordings with them and see if they also
<agree that the TPS should be replaced. Now thats 5 star service, I wish
<every 5 star dealer was like that, I know some of you all have not had good
<luck with them! Anyway, they also replaced my cup holder under warranty.

<A few weeks ago I took my truck into the dealer to explain the problem I
was having with the PCM <cutting fuel/ignition out under hot conditions
after shifting gears (5spd) (possible overheat??) <Anyway, they gave me a
Mopar Co-pilot computer, hooked it up to the truck and told me if I could
<replicate the problem to press the button on the thing so it could record
what was happening in <the computer. The Co-pilot records 15 secs prior and
15 sec's after you press the button and can <hold up to 3 recordings. So
I've been trying to replicate the problem for 2 weeks and can't get it <to
act up, even went to the strip on a hot humid day and nothing happened. So I
disconnected it <the other day, and said the hell with it. Well today, out
on the interstate on-ramp it did it <again, so I open the glove box pull the
thing out, hook it up, and then slam the thing down into <<3rd rev it to
5000 rpms and slam 4th and IT DID IT!! so I mash the button for the
recorder!! <wait 30 secs, and did it again, I got 3 good recordings!! So
now I'm going to the dealer, <hopefully tomorrow, to turn in the co pilot
for them to review. I hope they find something!!
