Mike,
It is difficult to get a handle on the mileage thing.
It is hard to find an apples to apples comparison on
the list, with all the mods and driving style & uses -
racing or off road.

I would like to know the answer for a 6 vs the 4.7 - I
have the 6 and get 17 - 18 city & 21 - 22 highway
65mph.

v-6,31X10.5 tires 4x4 3.55 automatic, QC, K&N filter,
tonneau cover, muffler

If you can find what a 4.7 gets with this
configuration I would like to know.

If I was to choose today I'd go with the 4.7
