They have been externally balanced since day one. They are still
externally balanced to this day
As for the balancing, there is a special flexplate you use to balance the
360 to work on your nuetrally balanced 318 torque converter. When you
bolt the engine up, you use the 318 flexplate. You can't use the special
flexplate for installation, only for the balancing.
You're wiring should work just fine =) Just get a 98' 5.9L Computer. You
may run into a problem seeing as how the 98' comps require a flash with
the VIN and mileage. You may have to make the computer think it's still
in that Ram it came out of.
