If you own the 4.7 version , when you open the hood there is only one side
where air can flow through without any obstruction beside the radiator. It
is on the left side where the current air hat is located. The only problem
in which I don't like about the current air hat is the plastic inlet hose in
an area where hot air can circulate and not collocated with any real outside
opening. Now having said that, I looked at all three designed and sees some
small difference. What I wanted is a filter in front off the small opening
in the front engine frame to at least suck enough cold air versus warm hot
engine air.
All three designs are much better than the current stock air hat and the
removal will only benefit the 4.7L engine.
Looking at the intake cone/tube design on both QuickD and Intense, there is
still a gap between the front housing and the cone filter. Then, looking at
the Cool Air, it is at to the front engine wall (frame) not one or two inch
back. More opportunity to receive colder air than the inside engine
compartment air mass.
Have there been any Dyno runs on all three? Not yet... This is where you
can find out what is the best for the buck or HP gains.

Do you have a point you'd like to make? If so, please make it as I've been
following these threads closely to determine which route I'm going to take.
