Thats the way it works, man. I like the Dutch auctions because then they
don't know your limit. About 30 seconds prior to close, put in a final bid
that reflects (a) no more than you think its worth, and (b) slightly more than
what you think someone else will be bidding at the last minute. If you can't
meet both those criteria, let it go. But if you do, and you win, you
basically just 'jacked' somebody. But that is what an auction is all about.
If you feel so strongly about getting it, you should have bid higher. Its all
about what its worth to you. You have to know what things are worth, and what
people are willing to pay for them. Auctions are competitive by nature, if
you don't want to deal with that, buy stuff normal. Sorry you didn't get what
you wanted.
