GOTCHA! Actually, both statements are true! My little six piston has been
running really strong lately, and I don`t know why.10,000 miles on the
clock, and it has never run this strongly. This is the same truck that has
always hesitated and ran crappy since it had 5,000 miles on it.Numerous
attempts by the dealer to repair did not fix it.(TPS,plug wire
reroute,no problem found times five, and Ye Olde Belly Pan Gasket, for
pinging). It still surges and sags in power, but overall it takes off and
pulls harder than ever, even with the defroster on! What could have
happened to change it`s performance? I put 3923`s in about three weeks
ago,but the idle quality went down slightly, and the truck still
basically ran poorly. But lately it has started to run really good. Maybe
it`s the change in the weather. The "cooler, denser air" that I hear so
much about! I think it`s the "patchydense" fog we`ve had.(Weather man
terminology,I think) Patchidense? I`m sure it`s one word. You never see
one without the other. Steve P.
