Uhhhh ...... red=Positive, black=negative........I don't understand both
leads are hot. The battery cables go to the junction box, one cable (pos)
red cable goes to one lead, the other cable (black, negative) goes to the
other lead. Please explain both hot. Thanx.

Subject: DML: RE: MSD install help (kinda long)...
Once again:
There's an easily accessible section for the coil wire, right by the
alternator, where you can very easily splice the MSD system into (No extra
wire routing is required for this...and not necessary anyways.) After you
initially cut the wires, you'll have two sets of wire leads...one set
follows to the coil/connector and the other set follows back into the
harness.
Orange Wire: Green/Orange Wire to Coil Connector
Small Black Wire: Black/Gray (or just Gray) wire to Coil Connector
Small Red Wire: Green/Orange wire to harness
White Wire: Black/Gray (or Gray) wire to harness
Heavy RED Wire: Battery NEG
Heavy BLACK Wire: Battery POS
All of this is done with the battery disconnected...and is the same way to
connect either a MSD5, MSD6, MSD6 (Offroad), or Digital-6+ box.
