First off, Congrats to Tim for that 13.5 !! His truck ROCKS! I had an
awesome day myself, the track conditions couldn't have been better, weather
was Sunny 72 F with 40% humidity, press. was around 30. I got 7 runs in 5
hrs. Best run of the day was 14.51 @ 91.74 ! I have a new PB 1/8 mile time
of 9.18 @ 74.28. Best short time of the day was 1.927.
Times in order are: 14.62, 14.602, 14.591, 14.529, 14.512, 14.526, and
14.622.
I wanted a 14.4X real bad, to match or beat my PB of 14.48, so on my last
run I launched at 3800 (usually 3500) and I spun a little bit and ran the
14.622 :( Oh well, 7 runs all within .1 sec is not to shabby for a 5spd ;)
This was the best I have ever run at VMP, usually the track sucks, but this
weekend it was just right. I've got about 100, 1/4 mile runs now, my top 20
runs average out at 14.59.
That was my last run on the stock computer, should be ready for some
14.3-14.4's next week when I get my PCM back.
Mods to date: Homemade air intake, K&N filter, Autolite plugs, Mobil 1 ,
Flowmaster Muffler and 3" tailpipe, Traction bars, Hoosier slicks. Race
Weight is 3850 lbs.
