Just from personal experience, and I know you said you don't want to use
blocks, but I've had 2" blocks in the rear of my dak for over a year now
with no problems at all. I've had no problems with tire clearance off-road
with my 31 x 10.5's. But, I can't say that I had any problems without the
2" blocks. I added the blocks to gain clearance at the rear bumper. I
gained somewhere in the range of 3+" I think....can't remember. Anyway,
just wanted to say that it's a cheap and very simple installation and has
paid for itself many many times.
