        I've already read that article. I was going to buy the Tuff Country lift
at one point, but decided against it. If I were to do it over again I would consider
that lift instead. The rancho kit is more of a "bolt on" kit, whereas the TC lift
has a lot of grinding/drilling etc...

        To aswer the question about schackles, they are installed at the pivot point of
the leaf springs. Take a good look at your CJ5, I would almost bet it has shackles.
Since you have the latest edition of Peterson's 4-Wheel & Offroad, thumb through it
for shackles to give you an idea what they look like.

 Petterson's offroad mag. has a durango with a 7" and
35's on the nov(?) cover. They also have a segment
about lift kits in it, if you havent read it it may
give you a little in sight. Personaly, i have a
skyjacker 3" suspension lift on a CJ5 but my dak's are
stock height. Buy the way the shackles are the
pivoting part of the leaf springs.
