RE: Rubber Flap (slowing intake) was: Cowl Induction/Ram Air

I clean my filter religiously at every oil change so that's not a factor for
me (and it hasn't shrunk yet). However, i've driven the truck (with the
rubber flap removed) in HEAVY downpour, muddin', and on assorted dirt roads,
and never had a problem with the filter getting clogged.

If a bug actually gets into the engine...it's gott be one HELL-UV-A-BUG to
get through the filter...let alone survive the internal combustion process.

Bernd,
What about plastic bags, water ,dirt, and bugs getting into the engine
compartment? Or any road debris. That would be my only worry.
Hop.
