I run a handheld gps(Garmin 12xl) with an external antenna(on dashboard)then
hook the signal into a laptop with Delorme Street Atlas software. What ever
thy do re: speedos they would need an antenna and reciever and some thing to
decode signals.The downside of it is that heavy overcast or tree canopie can
block out gps signals.
