I run Valvoline semi-synthetic 80w-90 gear lube. I tend to like
streetracing, and drive hard sometimes. I like this lube, (5-6 bucks/qt)
and it's cheaper than full synthetic, 8-9$/qt. The front diff is hard to
refill after draining/cleaning the old silicone off, and reassempling the
cover on. I recommend a rubber auto hose, that will fit on the tip of the
bottle, a cable tie to keep it from slipping.. *how do I know this??* Make
it about a foot or 2 long for tyhe front, and a foot or shorter for the
rear. Hope this helps. The 3M adhesive cleaner solvent works well with a
steelwool pad to remove the remaining RTV. Use a knife/gasket scraper to
remove the worst of it.
