Class 2 is 3500#, class 3 is 5000#. Max tongue weight without a weight
distribution setup should be 10% of the trailer weight. The other thing to
consider is stopping everything. Check the brakes on the truck and if
possible have some type of brake on the trailer. I pull a 27' tent camper
that weighs close to 3000# when it's loaded up. Then alot of gear in the bed
of the truck. The camper has electric brakes and I lost them once. I got
home ok but it made for an interesting ride. We don't want to see a Dak like
the link to the Chebby and boat trailer that rolled down the hill.
