Injectors installed and....

They work! Loosened the t/b bolts 1/2 way & unplugged the 3 sensors, but left
the throttle linkage alone. Old ones came off easy enough, but 2 of 'em left
their top o-ring in the fuel rail, had to pry it out with a q-tip (so no
scratches). New ones have the clip groove higher up on the injector than
stock, but have a 2nd lip lower down that matches & the clip works there,
too. Lubed the o-rings with fresh Castrol GTX 10w30 & popped 'em right in!
While I had the K & N off, I changed the cap & rotor, both brass & on for a
year, and boy, does the MSD sure eat up both! Some heavy-duty wear on both
(knew my mileage was tanking for a reason) so in went new Napa brass
replacements. Tomorrow, the Autolite 3923s & the polished Magnum valve covers
go in, with a Turnpike run tomorrow night for it's first test. Right off,
they seem quieter than the stock injectors, sputtered once on start-up, then
fired right up & idles smoother, too. No codes or warning lights, no leaks,
so I think it's OK. Further observations to follow.....
