Seth,
Well on my '99, there's 3 places I can find the gear ratio. You can look in
the glove box, and the sticker in there will tell you what size axle you
have, along with the gear ratio and if you have an anti-spin or not.
Another place (best bet) is to look on the differential covers. There
should be a couple bolts w/ little metal tags attached, one of these tags
is your gear ratio. (ie: 3.5 on a tag indicates 3.55 gearing, 3.9 on a tag
means 3.92, 3.2 means 3.22). Also you could give your "friendly" Dodge
dealer the VIN and mileage of your truck - they can run a "vehicle
information plus- function 14", which shows ALL the options your truck has.
Consider yourself lucky if you have the 3.92's, I've been wishing for these
since I recieved my truck! Anyway hope this helps!
