Hey Alex,
Put it on the fender wall next to the PCM. If your cruise control is in the
way just shift it down toward the headlight. I mounted my blaster SS there
and have had no problems with it. That way my existing coil wire reaches
with no problem. I use the MSD Super Conductor 8.5 mm wires. I took the
MSD ignition wires and extended them all the way around against the firewall
and around to the right fender. Right along there is where I have the
harness. I also set up thewires going to the stock coil so that I could
disconnect from the SS and go back to the stock coil should a problem arise.

Subject: DML: Good location for new coil?
Where have others mounted their coils on their GenIII's? Any suggestions
and/or photos?
I got my MSD 6A box installed behind the battery today after work. However,
I'm a little stumped as to a good location for the Blaster SS.
I've almost set my mind on the front wall directly behind the passenger side
headlight -- it's nice and flat and away from heat. I'll have to take out
the headlight to drill from the front or get a flex shaft for my drill to
drill from the compartment side, and have a long plug wire made to reach the
distributor.
However, I've also thought about fabbing up a mounting plate that bolts on
the old airbox mount. Lotsa room there!
TIA for suggestions...!
