Steven, The coils detach very easy, just press it with your finger and the
connectors come right off. The air hat detaches from the intake with 2, 10
mm screws. A hose clamp holds the air hat on the TB. Once you get the air hat
off, take a regular screw driver and pop open the two plastic hold downs for
the Aluminum heater tubes, this will allow them to be moved out of the way.
The spark plug tubes/coils are also held down with 10 mm nuts. Remove the nut
and pull straight up firmly. You'll need a Spark plug socket, one with the
rubber grommet still inside to get the plugs out of the "hole", or a magnet
on a stick. I have removed the air hat permanently and can change out the
plugs in about 20 minutes. Shouldn't take longer than 45 minutes tops. Just
BE VERY CAREFUL, putting the new plugs in, Aluminum heads are very soft, and
you can strip one real easy.
tools needed:
Regular Screwdriver
10mm socket
3/8" Ratchet
6" extension
5/8" Spark plug socket
