This is very common at our shop where a we do alot of import body kits. Just
go to a local metal yard and ask for expanded metal. You can get it in
aluminum, although the aluminum is more expensive. Just don't get it too
thick, otherwise it is very hard to bend. If enough people were interested I
could fabricated up a kit.

Check out my homepage.
www.angelfire.com/ks2/Dester223/home.html
just click on "homemade speed grille" and it'll actually have a couple
picturse of how I MADE my own speed grille. The only flip side to doing so
is I'm going to have to spend another 40 bucks to get it poweder coated "007
silver" which is a off-chrome color.
Check it out. I like it because it's flush with the back of the grille,
compared to how the speed grille protrudes out.
