3923's in a 4.7L-HELP!!! Platinum vs. Copper

I found a reference to the 3923's on a BMW tech page. They cross to a
Champion RC9YC which I'm sure I plenty of in the great spark plug crate on
the garage shelves.

Now here is what I can't understand....

Everybody says Copper only NOT Double Platinum.

Okay here IS the rule of thump as I know it:

Double Platinum is better than copper for conductivity in low powered
ignition systems. Platinum is NOT RECOMMENDED for HIPO multi spark and CD
ignition systems. The Platinum can flake off and pit in these hi powered
systems.

So I can understand why all you 3.9, 5.2, 5.9 owners scream no platinum.
Many of you have MSD systems and others or take your rec's from people who
do.

Unfortunately, us 4.7 owners are stuck with the low output stock system.
Forget the coil over plug design being hipo...It could be, but on our
trucks it means they can lower the voltage even more. So we need all the
help we can get. If Double Platinums conduct better why not use them in a
stock ignition 4.7L???

I'm confused. Can somebody give an answer other than DON'T USE PLATINUM!!!
At least say why?
