I rag on Bowties, but my 95 Z28 LT1 6-speed was a lot of fun. 13.95 off
the showroom floor. BAM!!! Pretty impressive in now, really impressive in
95.
The LS1 is a sweet motor. The LT1's though still hold their own in
autocross though because of the lowend torque and great throttle response.
You can actually get prepped 1LE LT1's in great shape for decent prices and
go be competitive nationally with all mods and fresh tires for under $10K.
Tough to do that in just about any other Stock class car.
