DT Header READ

Well, I first had a set of JBA headers on my truck. They were ok, they gave
me a little bit more power, and a lot of leaking. For one reason or another,
they refused to seal at the 2-bolt flange to the Y-pipe... I had them on and
off three times, and tried 2 diff sealers the last two times. Nothing wanted
to work. So I called up truck performance and asked if I could purchase the
more expensive Doug Thorley Headers and send the crap JBAs back to them for a
full refund... they said "Of Course!" Keep in mind that I had the JBAs on
for 3 months, I spent 1 month of that time in Denmark, so even after all that
time they still traded me. TO GET TO THE POINT, I dont even recognize my
truck anymore, it runs and sounds completely different, and IM NOT
COMPLAINING! The power that they gave me, both low end and top is
incredible! And the sound is down right scary now, it sounds like Ive got a
monster under the hood!!! I thought that something was wrong cause I could
hardly here anything besides the exhaust, its so much deeper and louder now.
I think that it would sound even better if I had the tail pipe coming out of
the Flowmaster muffler mandrel bent instead of the cheap bend that the
muffler shop gave me. The bend reduces the diameter of the pipe by half!!!!!
I couldnt believe it, for one reason or another I never noticed, guese it
sounded to nice at the time. But anyway, it runs great and there are no
leaks, clearences are a little tight, but nothing hits so Im happy.
