O.K. - I'll probably get flamed on this, but what the He!!
(it is starting to get cold out, after all).
Gen II's, look for a 95 or 96 with the 318.
These years seem to have the fewest problems.
Can't remember if there were any emission/computer changes between 95 and
96.
(anyone?)
Bought my '95 new, and about the only problems experienced were the leaky
trans cooler line (about 35K miles) and the OE brake rotors shot at about
25-30 K.
Good Luck (and try to wreck this one!) :^(

Subject: DML: do gen II daks have ping problems?
Well,
As most of you know the good old 97 dak is prolly gonna get retired... I
think I am gonna pick up a gen II dak... I almost like their looks
better.... plus, I could get one with a v8 hehehehehehe =)
I was wondering if they have different, worse, less problems than my gen III
had. Any comments would be appreciated =)
