The inlet Diameter on the stock TB is not 3.26", that is the OUTSIDE diameter
of the stock TB. The stock inside Diameter is 66.6mm (2.625") Assuming you
increase the inside diameter of the TB by the same size (.75") that would
give you an inside Dia. of 85.7mm. But here's the problem, the intake
manifold is 71 mm, and there is no room to increase it UNLESS a new intake is
designed, atleast thats what I see. So, even if you go to a larger TB (larged
than 71mm), Your gonna be restricted by the stock intake.

Chris,
F&B (Flometrics and Bridges) will be prototyping a Billet TB for the 4.7 in
a couple of weeks. We are planning on increasing the inlet diameter of the
TB to at least 4" (from the 3.26 stock..) This will require a new intake
system or adaptor, which we will under take as well...We need a 4.7 truck to
come on down to the shop for some prelim measurements and then install and
dyno testing...about 2 weeks later... Discounted TB and etc, is all part of
the deal!
Takers?
Bruce
