The weather took a dramatic turn this weekend, and making the
temperature only about 35 today. The only mod I had on the truck last
time the weather was cool was the QuickD intake (I now have a QuickD TB
& electric fan as well). Now, these mods definitely made a difference
in the warmer weather, but nothing compared to what I felt today.
This afternoon, I was in town and stopped at a light. I started to pull
away from it sensibly, as I was in traffic. The minivan next to me
started to get a lead on me; pulled away much faster than you'd expect a
minivan driver to jump off the line, and he was moving faster than I
was. We can't have that, so I fed in just a little bit more throttle
and the engine started roaring like a beast! The minivan just
disappeared behind me. I don't think I even used half-throttle. I'd
count it as a spank, but let's be honest - a Ferd WindedStar isn't much
competition.
This thing's gonna be F-U-N while the weather's cold and the roads are
still dry :)
