That is what I did. I looked at the thermo and said, "NO WAY". Then looked
at the o-ring and with a razor blade, cut out the small hump mark.

Crit has a great idea for you folks that don't have the tools to notch the
T-stat. I would recommend what he said, cut the tab off the O-ring!! Great
