SPAM: When you send out emails to a group of people that don't want/need your
info. (Unsolicited Email). Also a very nasty food. ;)
FLAME: When you make slanderous/degrading remarks about someone or something
on purpose.
Here's the fun part:
What's been happening with the ridiculous thread about the speed/driving thing,
that's both of the above combined. (Calling someone an a-hole in an email that
was sent to more than one person is #1: Spamming and #2 Flaming someone.)
If more people would understand "Netiquette", they'd find out that what they're
doing is wrong. (Not illegal but ISP's frown upon that stuff.)
Check with your local ISP and find out what they have to say about "Spamming"
and "Flaming" people.
