Most of those cars got 2.76 gears !!! If it's a 7.25" rear it won't last
with a healthy V8 (Hell it won't last with a healthy /6). I broke 3 of
them before I gave in and upgraded. The other problem is with 2.76 gears
its tough to run any type of hipo cam. The .508 purple shaft in the 380
crate really needs a 3.91 gear or better even in a light Dart. Some people
compromise and install a slightly less duration Hughes cam and go with 3.55
gears. That makes a good street package. Truth is, about any 4bbl V8 in a
Dart with 3.55 gears and decent rubber will just flat fly!!!

Was trying to build an 11 sec non-boosted/non-juiced street car, now
focused on handling. It will be my Street Modified class autocrosser and
open track day toy. It'll be towed to National events by the WunderSLT!
