Ok...one more time:
If you're going to be changing your oil on a regular basis (every 3500 miles),
don't bother with the expensive Synthetic Oil. Castrol makes a "Synth-Blend"
which works just like all the other oils (Lubricates, protects, cleans, etc.)
and costs about 1/3 of the price for the full synthetics.
Also, don't run your engine longer than 12.5K miles on synthetics...contrary to
popular belief (and most Amsoil users), you should NOT run an oil filter past
12.5K miles (on synthetics) and NO MORE than 7500 miles with "Dino Oil" unless
you like recycling your dirty oil through the bypass valve in the
filter...aka: no filtration.
Just in case (and right from the mouth of Amsoil):
"The Super Duty Filter has a finer filtering media, more dirt holding capacity,
heavier-duty construction and a 6-month/12,500-mile change interval
recommendation which is the highest in the industry"
