I hate the fact my Dak is danged heavy in the summer when I race, but now,
in MInot, ND, where we now have 4+ inches in some places,a nd 4-8 more
expected tonight, along with 20-50MPH winds; my Dak shines! It pulls strong
thru any kind of snow, except the one that stuck me 2 hours ago. :/ ( Was
exiting a side road onto a main hiway, and was pulling out when a slow car
comes in front of me, forcing me to brake hard. ) I stopped cold, but the
front end sunk into a 2+ feet deep drift. I had misjudged the berm, and
couldn't see any lines, so I tried 4-lo, 4-hi, and nothing would work. My
peg-legged non-posi'd truck just spun in place. I finally got a yank with
my own strap from a nice Chevy 1/2 ton. I need to get my tow hooks
installed. I managed to pull out a stuick Chevette earlier, but that was
cake. Either way, I love my 4x4! Tho next year I may spring for BFG muds,
or Goodyear MT/R's.....
