Re: V6ers-Running no muffler is indeed a bad thing

I've been running the Dynomax cat back for the last 5 years on a 92 V6 5Speed CC. I
got it at Cole Muffler. It was $117 and the install was free. I like the sound and
the power increase is noticeable. I noticed the new power pulling out of the muffler
shop. I really noticed it the first time I pulled my camper. I could put her in OD
at 40 mph when I couldn't do that till I was on the highway. My camper is a 27' tent
camper that weighs about 2500 lbs when its loaded up. My only problem with it was
the tailpipe rusted out around the clamp at the muffler. I had to pay for a new
tailpipe but had the muffler replaced under the lifetime warranty on it. That was
after 4 years. I live in upstate NY where they salt like crazy. If I have to do it
again I'll probably see about getting it welded since it rusted where the clamp
would scratch through the aluminizing (sp).
