9-1/4 Rear End

Whats this I hear about a 3/4 ton Van 9-14 rear-end being desirable?
I've got one sitting side by side w/a 1/2 ton Ram 9-1/4 rear-end and you
wouldn't believe how much beefier the Van rear is. Heavy Duty vs. Light
Duty?? The axle tubes don't neck down and the end axle bearings are
massive! I also noticed the shock mounts and brake backing plates were
different. The pumpkin looks identical tho.
