Well, after all my questions and speculation as to the cause of my MSD
problem - I found the solution! I'm a big LOSER! I have a very large "L"
stamped in the middle of my forehead (and it doesn't want to wash off!).
The truck runs much better if the plug wires for cylinders 5 & 7 are not
reversed! Duh! I looked at that at least 5 times. If finally persuaded a
buddy of mine to come look at it and we traced all the wires again and found
it in like 5 minutes. A fresh perspective really makes a big difference.
BTW, I also wanted to let you guys know that the Accel "Electronic Super
Coil" that was the subject of suspicion seems to work just fine. I am going
to install the "proper" Blaster SS coil this weekend.
