Hey Rog,
My 88 has that same thingie and when I put the open element K&N on it, I
left that sensor in the airhat. The computer doesn't see that sensor, it's
totally operated on vacuum from the TB. You could just unhook the vacuum
hose from the TB and your problem would be solved, and it would be free =)
