My mom has a 1992 Dodge Caravan with 117K miles - No problems whatsoever and
still runs strong. I have a 1969 AMC Javelin that has 208K miles and only
had to have the engine rebuilt at 185K miles because of a broken valve
(transmission has never been rebuilt and neither has the differential). My
parents had also owned a Ford station wagon years ago and it only lasted
about 2 years...then, it broke down and was in the shop more than on the
road. That's when they traded it in for a Dodge.
People...every manufacturer has "problematic" vehicles...it's just that Ford
has had so many within the last few years that the company really doesn't
have anything worth it...well, except for one truck. ;)
